 “Snow-white and the seven dwarfs”

Class: 4^th V, teacher – Desislava Stoyanova

The date of 27^th November 2015 was a real fairy-tales holiday for the fourth graders from Vazrazhdane Secondary School, working on the Learn to Read and Read to Learn project. While the students from 4^th G class were working on a Bulgarian fairy tale, the students from 4^th V class were reading, translating and commenting in English the fairy tale “Snow-white and the seven dwarfs”.

Through reading the tale in English language, the so much loved and familiar tale got a new sense in students’ minds. Being actors, translators and artists, the children made sense of the content, learnt new vocabulary and practiced English grammar.

Among the methods which Mrs Stoyanova used to make the activity on the Comenius project interesting and entertaining, were illustrations of the tale, a tableau “My favourite fairy-tale character” and a multimedia presentation.
